Reverend Jaymus D. Stanley, Sr.

Jaymus D. Stanley, Sr. is the son of Brinda Stanley and the late Elvis D. Stanley. He was born on December 2, 1981 in Horry County SC.

Jaymus grew up in Longwood NC and graduated from West Brunswick High School in 2000. After obtaining a football scholarship, he attended Fayetteville State University in Fayetteville, NC. 

Having been trained by his grandfather, the late Shady L. Daniels. Sr., Jaymus is a third generation logger and currently is the owner of S.L. Logging, Inc.

Jaymus was baptized in 1995 and has grown up as a faithful member of Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church. He has served on the Usher Board, Youth and Gospel Choirs and Male Chorus.  As a member of Youth Mission Circle he held positions as Youth Choir President and Youth Mission President. He has also served as a Yard Marshal, Deacon, Youth Associate Supervisor, Young Adult Mission President, a Layman, and a Minister.

In May 2018, he acknowledged his call to the ministry and did his initial sermon on July 8th, 2018 where he received his license to preach. He was ordained March 2021 by the Ocean View Association of Sunset Beach, NC.

Jaymus is a member of Winnabee Masonic Lodge #786, Epsilon Zeta Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc, and the NC Association of Professional Loggers.

Jaymus is married to Karla Glass-Stanley and is the father of three children: Clinton "Monty" Byrd-Stanley, Jaelah D. Stanley, and Jaymus D. Stanley , Jr.
